New Apples are here

Apple Launch Event 2022: iPhone SE 5G, iPad Air 5 and everything that Apple announced
The Newbie: iPhone SE 5G

The new iPhone SE 5G comes with the A15 Bionic processor, making it one of the most powerful phones in its category. With better performance and improved battery life, the iPhone SE’s performance sits close to the high-end iPhones without cutting your pockets too deep. What’s more, the new iPhone SE also supports 5G connectivity, has a 12 MP wide rear camera, and 128 GB storage. Unlike the full-featured iPhone though, the iPhone SE 5G continues to carry the home button.

The other feature that hasn’t as yet made its way into the SE series is MagSafe, a magnetically-attached wireless power transfer feature. But that shouldn’t keep you from still wirelessly charging your new SE as it has a built-in wireless charging coil to support Qi-based wireless charging.

iPhone SE 5G goes on sale on March 18.

New colours for iPhone 13

iPhone 13, which was launched on September 14, 2021, made a guest appearance at the Apple March 8 Peek Performance event too. It will now be available in two new colours: Green for iPhone 13 and Alpine Green for iPhone 13 Pro.

M1 Ultra Chip

The M1 Ultra Chip is the latest addition to the M1 line alongside the M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max. Touted as the world’s most powerful chip for a personal computer, the M1 Ultra is what Apple calls ‘the next giant leap for Apple silicon and the Mac’. M1 Ultra can transcode video to ProRes up to 5.6 times faster than with a 28-core Mac Pro with Afterburner.

Studio Display

The new Apple Studio Display edition comes with a wide 27-inch screen and 5K resolution with the A13 Bionic chip offering powerful performance. In tandem with other launches, the Studio Display also has a 12 MP web camera with powerful speakers making it an exquisite device up for grabs, soon.

Mac Studio

Although the Mac Studio is only slightly bigger than the Apple Mac Mini, it packs a punch in the power segment with the M1 Max and M1 Ultra. Apple promises that with the new M1 Ultra, the Mac Studio will offer ‘game-changing performance’ and function 90% faster than the Mac Pro.

Apple iPad Air 5

The new iPad Air 5 isn’t very different to look at than the latest iPad models like the Air 4, which was launched in 2020. But under the good, the new iPad Air 5 has the new M1 Max, which amps up the performance of the device by a staggering 60 per cent. The new iPad Air 5 also offers 5G connectivity, supports the Magic Keyboard and has a wide-angle 12 MP front camera.
