Product Description

The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mid-range mirrorless micro four thirds digital camera is a compact, ergonomically-designed camera that has a 16.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic VII image processor to produce high-resolution image and full HD 1080p video with low-light quality and high-speed performance. The sensor, image processor and lens technology are the core of any digital camera. E-M10 is essentially an un-weather-sealed E-M5 but with a better rear screen and the ability to easily send images off to a smart device. The OMD EM10 represents a good solid specification, sporting a small body with built-in stabilisation that works with any lens you attach, a decent viewfinder, tilting screen, built-in Wifi and a popup flash. Both a high-resolution electronic viewfinder and tilting touchscreen monitor gives you live view monitoring, image playback, and menu navigation.

Sensor and Image Processor

The 16.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic VII image processor with Fine Detail Processing II enables high-resolution still imagery, full HD video recording and low-light quality and sensitivity to ISO 25600.

The latest TruePic VII image processor has been designed to refine image quality and manage the in-camera JPEG image rendering in light of the removal of the sensor's anti-aliasing filter and the corresponding threat.

3-Axis Image Stabilization

3 axis image stabilization concept was built electronically in to the camera and how much that would improve MR airtime. In-body VCM (Voice Coil Motor) image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake with any lens in use and compensates for camera movements that become especially noticeable when working with telephoto shots, macro imagery, and long exposures.

Electronic Viewfinder and Tilting Touchscreen

Including the same 1440k dot electronic viewfinder, 3-inch tilting screen, 16 Megapixel sensor and an AF system rated at the same speed, and while the continuous shooting is 1fps slower, it's still quick at 8fps. This finder enables realistic, high resolution viewing in a comfortable position when working in bright conditions.

A large 3-inch 1,037k-dot tilting touchscreen LCD monitor is also available for live view monitoring, image playback, and menu navigation. The monitor's design can tilt 80 upward and 50 downward, making it well-suited to use from both high and low angles. Touchscreen that helps make it quick to change secondary settings (gradation, white balance, ISO, etc.).

FAST Autofocus System

FAST (Frequency Acceleration Sensor Technology) is able to home in on subjects using single-shot or continuous focusing methods, as well as AF tracking to benefit working with moving subjects.

Wireless Connectivity

Built-in wireless connectivity is available and, when paired with the Olympus Image Share application for iOS and Android mobile devices, remote sharing and control over the camera is possible. Connecting of mobile devices to the camera is possible through an intuitive QR Code Connect system, which displays a unique QR code on the camera's monitor which can then be recognized by a mobile device for instant linking.
