Overview

Spanning a versatile telephoto range, the Sony FE 200 - 600 mm f/5.6 - f/6.3 G OSS Zoom Lens is a flexible zoom perfectly suited for nature, wildlife, and sports applications. The optical design incorporates a series of low dispersion and aspherical elements, which suppress a variety of aberrations, color fringing, and distortion in order to produce well-corrected imagery with high sharpness, color fidelity, and accurate rendering. Sony's original Nano AR Coating has a uniform nanometre-level structure that breaks up the lens's boundary surface, significantly reducing reflections, which can cause image-degrading flare and ghosting. The overall result is superior image clarity and contrast.

Special Features
A focus range limiter switch makes it possible to limit the lens's autofocus range to 2.4 to 10 metres, 10 metres to infinity or allow full-range autofocus with no limit. This can speed up autofocus in some situations by preventing the lens from focusing on subjects outside the target range. An internal zoom mechanism means that the length of the lens does not change while zooming, for stable handheld operation with consistent balance. Internal zoom also means that the distance between the front element and the subject does not change.

Three Customisable Focus Hold Buttons
The Sony FE 200 - 600 mm f/5.6 - f/6.3 G OSS Zoom Lens' Customisable focus hold buttons are provided in three locations 90 degree apart, providing easy access when shooting in horizontal orientation or vertical orientation with the camera grip up or down. Other functions can be assigned to the buttons as required.
