This new optic sits within Sony’s high-end G line-up, promising a high-quality corner-to-corner sharpness and also a beautifully rendered background blur. It also packs in optical image stabilization and has a dust and moisture resistant construction for outdoor use. The lens also boasts of a lightweight design, it is considerably lighter than most lenses and is extremely user-friendly.

    Superb Clarity and Contrast

    The Sony SEL24105G Lens impresses with its sheer image quality. The lens gives an end to end clarity and sharpness to the image. Four aspherical elements are featured in the optical design to noticeably reduce spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range for improved sharpness and clarity. There is enough detail for Sony’s new Pixel Shift Multi-Shot mode to exploit for the perfect photo.

     

    Wide-range mid-telephoto zoom

    The 24-105mm has a narrow cylindrical section ahead of the mount which flares outwards to the main barrel. It gives enough space for your fingers to wrap around the camera’s handgrip. The zoom ring rotates through a quarter-turn from wide-angle to telephoto, with the lens extending by approximately 45mm in the process. The slimmer focus-by-wire manual focus ring also rotates smoothly. The lens zooming capability can easily handle subjects such as portraits, snapshots, landscapes, architecture and more. This one lens will be able to cover most shooting needs, reducing the need to carry extra equipment.

    Convenient to Use

    Weighing in at 663g and measuring just a little more than 11cm in length, this aluminum alloy bodied Sony SEL24105G Lens is easy to carry and handle. This Sony lens has a sealed dust and moisture resistant design and a fluorine-coated front element, which makes it well-suited to life in both the field and the studio. The lens has a metal lens mount. It accepts 77mm filters via metal threads.
