        Versatile DX Prime

        The NIKKOR Z DX MC 35mm f/1.7 is a compact and versatile prime lens built for Nikon's DX-format (APS-C) mirrorless Z-mount cameras. With its 35mm focal length which is equivalent to about 52.5mm on a full-frame camera, it delivers a natural field of view close to human vision. This makes it a perfect all-rounder for everyday photography, portraits, travel, street scenes, and close-up shots.

         

        Optical Performance


        This lens offers exceptional image quality with impressive sharpness and contrast. Its optical design consists of 8 elements in 7 groups, including one aspherical element that minimizes distortion and chromatic aberrations. Colours appear rich and accurate, while edge-to-edge clarity is well maintained even at wide apertures. The f/1.7 maximum aperture allows for excellent low-light performance and creates a beautifully soft background blur (bokeh), making subjects stand out against their surroundings.

         

        Macro Capability


        As indicated by the "MC" (Micro) in its name, this lens is capable of close-up photography. It features a minimum focusing distance of just 0.16 meters and a maximum reproduction ratio of 0.67x, allowing photographers to capture fine details of small subjects such as flowers, jewellery, and food.
