Q.1 Why should I recycle e-waste?
E-waste is a major source of toxic chemicals and heavy elements which can be hazardous to the environment. Nearly every appliance in your home contains trace amounts of dangerous elements; from Lead in your TV to Mercury and Cadmium in your smartphone. Storing these old electronics in your home could cause damage to the environment without your knowledge.
Q.2 What to do with my e-waste?
Simply click here drop off the e-waste at your nearest Croma store, or call us at 1800-57-27662 to schedule a home pick-up for the e-waste. After collection, Croma and JustDispose ensure safe and responsible disposal of all e-waste.
Q.3 Who collects my e-waste?
Croma has partnered with the leading experts in e-waste disposal, JustDispose and R Planet to ensure top-notch standards. JustDispose is certified by the Maharashtra Pollution Board, 1509001:2008 certified for Quality Management Standards and 15014001:2004 certified to ensure Environmental Management Standards. R Planet is an Extended Producer Responsibility Organisation (EPRO) for e-waste management and is an authorised recycler by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for recycling e-waste.
Q.4 What happens to the e-waste I dispose?
E-waste once collected by Croma, is transported to a state-of-the-art JustDispose recycling facility that specialises in e-waste segregation and disassembly. The hazardous materials are shipped to a government-run facility for safe disposal in an environmentally friendly manner.
