In just under two years, Adobe Firefly has generated a jaw-dropping 22 billion assets worldwide, and now it’s back with a firestorm of new features. At the Max London Event, Adobe announced Firefly’s latest update that unifies its powerhouse image, video, audio, and vector generation tools into one sleek, AI-fuelled platform. And yes, it’s coming to your phone too.
So, what’s new?
Let’s start with the showstoppers. Firefly Image Model 4 and its Ultra sibling are here, bringing ultra-realistic renders of everything from saintly polar bears to whimsical cats lounging in pixelated gardens. Portraits now shimmer with emotion and detail, architecture pops off the screen, and 2D vector art gets the commercial-grade polish it always deserved, all from a single prompt.
And the Firefly Video Model is no longer beta and now fully equipped to deliver five-second cinematic clips with text prompts, 1080p finesse, and camera controls that’ll make filmmakers giddy. From fiery visual effects to dreamy bokeh toddler shots, you can do it all, and probably more. It’s just about typing the right words in.

But perhaps the sleeper hit is the new Firefly mobile app. Generative power in your pocket means you can sketch ideas, refine them mid-commute, and sync it all up seamlessly with Creative Cloud. And if you’re not a Firefly purist? No worries. Adobe now lets you tap into non-Adobe AI models, like ChatGPT and Gemini, all under the same roof.
With this update, Adobe is looking at mobilising creativity. Whether you’re a pro designer or just AI-curious, Firefly’s new toolkit is built to go wherever your imagination dares
