Amazfit Active 2 Square is a new square-shaped smartwatch for fitness enthusiasts

In an interesting move, a brand is offering a smartwatch in two shapes for users to choose from. The brand is Amazfit, and the wearable in question is the Active 2. After recently launching a variant with a circular watch face, the brand has now launched a new variant called Amazfit Active 2 Square. As the name suggests, this variant comes with a square watch face.

Amazfit Active 2 Square key specs

The new Amazfit smartwatch features a square display 1.75-inch display with Sapphire glass protection and a stainless-steel frame. The AMOLED panel with 390 x 450 pixels resolution and 2,000 nits of brightness means, you will be able to see things clearly on screen even when outdoors.

For connectivity, there’s support for Bluetooth 5.2 and BLE, and the smartwatch is compatible with smartphones running Android 7.0 or iOS 15 and above. While users can answer calls and control music via the watch, iOS users will also be able to control their phone’s cameras right from the wrist.

The smartwatch packs a 260mAh battery, which the brand claims can last up to 10 days of with typical usage, and up to 19 days on battery saver mode. When in need, the wearable can be fully charged in about two hours.

Lastly, the Active 2 Square is water resistant at up to 50 meters.

Amazfit Active 2 Square fitness features

For fitness tracking enthusiasts, the Amazfit smartwatch features a BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor that can track heart-rate monitoring for 24 hours, sleep, and other metrics like SpO2 levels, breathing rate, menstrual cycles, and more.

It can also recognise and monitor over 160 types of sports including running, cycling, yoga, padel, pickleball, hyrox race, swimming, and more.

Amazfit Active 2 Square price, availability

At the time of filing this story, the Amazfit Active 2 Square is limited to the global market. It carries a price tag of $149.9 (approximately Rs 12,000). It remains to be seen when Amazfit plans to bring this wearable to our shores.

In the meantime, the circular Amazfit Active 2 is available in India, with prices starting from Rs 9,999.
