Apple’s latest iPad Pro has arrived, and it’s flexing the kind of power that could make a laptop blush. Powered by the all-new Apple M5 chip, the new iPad Pro takes a major leap in performance, AI processing, and display quality, while staying impossibly thin and light.
Starting at Rs 99,900, the new iPad Pro promises to be Apple’s most capable tablet yet, one that’s equally at home in a designer’s studio or a coffee shop corner. Here’s everything you need to know about the M5 iPad Pro.
Apple iPad Pro M5: Specs and features
At the heart of the iPad Pro is the M5 chip, Apple’s most powerful processor to date. With a 10-core GPU and neural accelerators baked into every core, it delivers 5.6x faster AI performance compared to the M1 generation.
That means creative apps like DaVinci Resolve and Draw Things run faster and smoother, while AI-driven features such as video masking, image generation, and upscaling all happen instantly on-device.
The iPad Pro’s CPU, with its mix of high-performance and efficiency cores, allows faster multitasking and app launches. Apple claims up to 6.7x faster 3D rendering and 6x faster video transcoding for creators who need desktop-class muscle.
Memory bandwidth has doubled to 150GB/s, and storage read/write speeds have also been upgraded for quicker access to large projects. Models starting at 256GB now ship with 12GB of unified memory.

The Ultra Retina XDR display on the iPad Pro uses tandem OLED panels for superior contrast, deeper blacks, and brightness up to 1,600 nits in HDR. ProMotion and True Tone return, while a nano-texture glass option reduces glare for those who work in bright environments.
Connectivity gets an overhaul too, with Apple’s new C1X modem offering 50 per cent faster 5G speeds and the N1 wireless chip adding Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support.
On the software side, iPadOS 26 debuts a cleaner interface, smarter multitasking, and tighter integration with Apple Intelligence. A new Preview app allows seamless PDF editing, while AI tools assist with translation, reminders, and summaries.
Apple’s updated Magic Keyboard now has a function row and lighter frame, and the Apple Pencil Pro brings haptic feedback and enhanced precision for creative work.
Apple iPad Pro M5: Price and availability
The new iPad Pro comes in two sizes, 11-inch and 13-inch, and two finishes, Space Black and Silver. Prices start at Rs 99,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 1,29,900 for the 13-inch version, with storage options up to 2TB. The top-end 13-inch model with nano-texture glass and 5G connectivity tops out at Rs 2,59,900.
Pre-orders are open now, with in-store availability beginning 22 October 2025. With laptop-level power, a cinematic display, and sharper AI smarts, this is Apple’s most complete iPad yet, built for anyone who wants performance without compromise. Is it on your wishlist? Let us know.
