We have been hearing about Apple’s plans to redesign iOS and macOS. The upcoming iOS 19, for instance, is said to be the biggest UI overhaul. However, there wasn’t any significant information, until now that is.
Apple is reportedly prepping to launch the ‘Solarium’ UI overhaul for iOS and macOS, which may completely change how both look. If you are an Apple user or just an enthusiast, continue to read more about Apple’s Solarium UI.
All about Apple's Solarium UI overhaul
According to Bloomberg, Apple will launch an updated interface for iOS and macOS, which is codenamed ‘Solarium’. It will bring a major UI overhaul, which is likely to include a new translucent design, with rounded corners for aesthetics.
This change will take iOS and macOS closer to how the visionOS looks, helping Apple streamline things. Notably, visionOS has circular icons and a translucent look to it, and Apple is probably sticking to that for iOS 19 and the next macOS.

These changes will also likely come to watchOS and tvOS as well. This update is said to be one of the biggest overhauls for iPhones since iOS 17 in 2013 and macOS Big Sur in 2020.
Since Apple hasn’t confirmed anything yet, do take the above information with a grain of salt. But we should hear more about the redesign at WWDC 2025 next month. Until then, stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for more news on Apple.
