Staying true to its nomenclature, the Honor Power is all about power and endurance. It is the world’s first phone to house a gargantuan 8,000mAh battery, according to Honor. And you get all that battery capacity in a diminutive 8mm form factor. The company goes as far as claiming that the phone has a larger battery than the 2025 iPad Air (29.6Wh to 28.93Wh).
Thanks to the innovative silicon carbon technology that’s gaining traction amidst 2025 smartphones across OEMs, the phone manages to stay slim while housing a massive battery, which would be impossible with traditional lithium-ion tech. Honor has announced the phone in China, and here’s everything you need to know about the Honor Power.
Honor Power houses a massive 8,000mAh battery
The Honor Power’s battery has an energy density of 821Wh/L, which is extremely high compared to lithium-ion batteries. Since these silicon carbon batteries are denser than its lithium-ion counterparts, manufacturers can now fit large batteries into sleek bodies.
Honor claims that the battery can deliver up to 25 hours of long-form video playback, up to 23 hours of TikTok (or Instagram Reels, in India), more than 23 hours of GPS navigation, and up to 14 hours of gaming! The battery also boasts a six-year lifespan, as per the company.
As mentioned, the chassis of the Honor Power is merely 8mm thick, making it comfortable to wield too. The phone also remains lightweight at 209g. It supports 66W fast charging, which is decently fast as well.
Other specifications include a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, a 50MP rear camera paired with a 5MP ultrawide shooter, and a 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 4,000 nits peak brightness.
