HP has launched a new gaming laptop in India as part of its popular Omen series. The all-new HP Omen Max 16 is a laptop with gaming-ready hardware. Some of its highlights include a 240Hz display, an Intel Core Ultra chipset, and the Nvidia 5080 GPU. The laptop also comes with Omen Light Studio support for customising your RGB setup. The HP Omen Max 16 is a beast of a machine for professional gamers. The laptop has a metal chassis, giving a premium look and feel. It sports a 16-inch IPS display with a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. The panel has up to 240Hz variable refresh rate for a smoother gaming experience. It’s also bright at 500 nits for better visibility.

Powering the laptop is the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, which is paired with 64GB of DDR5 RAM and SSD storage. For gaming, it has Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU that has the Blackwell architecture. This is an AI-ready GPU that boosts in-game performance. Additionally, there’s also DLSS for more performance gains.

The laptop also comes with a dedicated cooling setup, which includes a twin-fan setup, heat pipes, and a vapor chamber spanning 61 percent of the motherboard. This ensures that there’s minimal heat production while gaming or running intensive tasks.

The Omen Max 16 also comes with Ultra Low Latency Gen 3 technology, enabling quick pairing of up to three HyperX devices. The laptop also has the HPTrue Vision 1080p FHD IR camera that supports temporal noise reduction. It has dual-array digital microphones for a crystal-clear sound.

Coming to pricing, the HP Omen Max 16 starts at Rs 3,09,999, and comes in the Shadow Black shade. It can be purchased from HP stores and other retail outlets across India.

In the premium segment, you can also check out the Dell Alienware X16 R2 and the Asus ROG Strix SCAR 16. Both come with an Intel processor and a Nvidia GPU for gaming.
