A homegrown tech brand that we are quite familiar with, Mivi, has just made a bold play in the global AI race, and it starts with a simple “Hi Mivi.”
In a groundbreaking announcement, the company introduced Mivi AI, what the company claims is, the world’s first truly human-like artificial intelligence. Unlike traditional AI that sticks to rigid question-answer formats, Mivi AI is designed to feel like you’re talking to someone and not something. Think: context-aware chats, emotional intelligence, and adaptive responses, all packed into a pair of earbuds.
It will follow your instructions and talk back like a human
Dubbed AI Buds, these are the first product powered by Mivi AI, offering users a seamless, hands-free way to interact with AI on the go. Just speak, and the buds respond, not with robotic monotone, but with nuance, understanding, and even empathy. Whether you’re navigating traffic, setting a reminder, or just need a pep talk on a rough day, Mivi AI is there, designed to respond like a real companion.
What’s more, it’s built with India in mind. Trained on thousands of voice samples from across the country, the AI is finely tuned to understand Indian accents. This is a feature that many global tech giants still struggle with, mainly because they are trained on data that is dominated by western languages and accents.

Midhula Devabhaktuni, Mivi’s Co-founder and CMO, describes this as “India’s AI moment.” She adds, “This isn’t just a product launch. It’s a global tech milestone – made in India, for the world.”
Beyond earbuds, Mivi hints at a larger ecosystem of smart devices powered by this tech. The vision? To reimagine how we live with AI, not as cold assistants, but as emotionally aware, intuitive partners in our daily lives.
And if the AI Buds and what Mivi claims about their functionality and features are any indication, that future might already be here. For more such tech news and updates, stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma.
