OnePlus Pad Go tablet launched for all your work and entertainment needs

Tablets offer a great middle ground between a laptop and smartphone. They offer the computing power and battery life of the former, while also ensuring a much more compact and portable form factor. However, many consider tablets as an expensive, and therefore unnecessary investment.

While that may be true for a lot of premium tabs, there has been a recent surge in the launch of mid-range tablets. We’ve seen launches from brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and adding to that list is OnePlus with its latest Pad Go. Here’s what you need to know about OnePlus’ latest offering.

OnePlus Pad Go launched in India

OnePlus’ second tablet, the Pad Go, is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and features 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Under the hood, is a massive 8,000mAh battery with support for 33W SUPERVOOC charging, via a USB Type-C port.

The battery, according to OnePlus, provides up to 14 hours of video playback and 40 hours of music playback at a stretch. What’s more, the company also claims that on standby mode, the tablet can last for as long as 514 hours.

The OnePlus Pad Go features an 11.6-inch 2.4K display with a resolution of 2408 x 1720 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 400 nits of peak brightness and also features low blue light technology, which can filter out harmful blue light to help reduce eye strain. On the audio front, the device features a quad-speaker setup with OnePlus’ Omnibearing Sound Field technology, as well as support for Dolby Atmos.

Coming to optics, the Pad Go features an 8MP camera at the rear with support for 1080P video at 30fps. On the front is also an 8MP camera, for selfies and video calls.

What’s cool is, the OnePlus Pad Go features screen mirroring capabilities. When enabled, the interface of your connected OnePlus device can be displayed as a floating window on the tablet. Moreover, photos and other files can also be dragged and dropped between the two devices. The OnePlus Pad Go can be used to answer incoming calls and check notifications on your connected phone as well.

The tablet comes running on Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.2 straight out of the box.

OnePlus Pad Go pricing and availability

The new OnePlus Pad is available in a single colour – Twin Mint. It is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage Wi-Fi variant. The LTE models are priced at Rs 21,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and Rs 23,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

The device goes on sale on October 20, with pre-orders kicking off at OnePlus stores on October 12. A few other options one can consider in this price range are the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, the oppo Pad Air, and the realme Pad.
