Only a few weeks after unveiling the Oppo A5 Pro 5G, the brand has stepped up and announced the mid-range successors to the Oppo Reno 13 series in China. The Oppo Reno 14 and 14 Pro are the company’s latest smartphones, featuring a triple-camera setup and Android 15-based ColorOS 15. Excited to see what the successors have in store for you? Oppo Reno 14, Reno 14 Pro: Key features to look out for

At the event, Oppo mentioned how the two new phones will sport a large 6.59-inch and 6.83-inch flat screens, unlike its predecessor, which featured a quad curved display. Apart from this, the two devices will even boast of a 1.5K resolution AMOLED panel with 3,840Hz PWM dimming.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 14 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC, like the Reno 13 series. The Reno 14 Pro, on the other hand, comes with Dimensity 8450, which the company claims is faster. According to Oppo, these chipsets flaunt a nano ice crystal heat sink, which promises three times the thermal efficiency when compared to other models.

Shutterbugs can enjoy the Oppo Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro’s triple camera setup. This features 50MP main camera, 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP autofocus front camera for video calls and selfies. The Pro model comes with a 50MP ultra-wide camera as well — the regular model, on the other hand, gets an 8MP ultra-wide instead.

Storage is a crucial part of a smartphone experience, and both the new Oppo phones get 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage capacity. Moreover, the company claims that the smartphones can also enjoy ‘enhanced network quality’ with the new X1 chip. If you’re the adventurous kind, both the phones come ready to take on the extreme with their IP66 + IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance certifications.

Lastly, the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro come backed with 6,000mAh an d 6,200mAh large battery packs, respectively, and also support 80W fast charging.

Oppo Reno 14, Reno 14 Pro: Price and availability

The Oppo Reno14 can be purchased in Reef Black, Pinellia Green and Mermaid colourways. The Reno14 Pro, on the other hand, comes in Reef Black, Calla Lily Purple and Mermaid colours. The brand has also equipped the device with a ‘skin-friendly’ velvet glass finish.

The Oppo Reno 14 is available in five storage variants (128GB + 256 GB, 16GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB). It can be purchased starting at 2,799 yuan (roughly Rs 33,245) and goes all the way up to 3799 yuan (roughly Rs 45,105)

 

Alternatively, the Oppo Reno 14 comes gets four storage variants (including 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, 16GB + 1TB) and begins starting 3,499 yuan (roughly Rs 41,560) to 4,499 yuan (roughly Rs 53,435).

While phones go on sale in China starting May 23, the brand hasn’t explicitly stated plans for a global roll-out. Until then, you can always check out other phones within this category; these include the Google Pixel 8a 5G and the OnePlus 13R 5G
