Sony, in collaboration with the watchmaker ANICORN, has announced a limited-edition mechanical watch to celebrate the console’s 30th anniversary. What’s cool is that it perfectly matches the aesthetics of the recently announced PS5 30th Anniversary Limited Edition.
In addition to this limited edition, there are two more accessible versions, which meet the aesthetics of newer PlayStation consoles. If you are a PlayStation fan or just a fellow watch collector, here’s everything you need to know about the PlayStation Mechanical Watch.
All about the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch
Sony and ANICORN took to Instagram to reveal the special edition mechanical watch. Since it celebrates the original PlayStation console’s 30th anniversary, the limited-edition model has the exact same aesthetics of the PS5 30th Anniversary Limited Edition console.
While the limited-edition watch comes in a bright stainless steel silver finish, you also get two other accessible versions. Called the Play Symbol Dark Mode and Light Mode, the former features a black theme, while the latter offers a brighter white theme. Both these watches have black-coloured straps, unlike the limited-edition watch, which has a white strap.
ANICORN confirmed that the limited-edition watch has Miyota 2035 quartz movement and will arrive with a collector-grade metal protective case. It’s built from 316L stainless steel and features 5ATM water resistance, adding to its durability. Limited to only 300 units, these special edition watches will be made available on December 19, 2025.
As for the price, the flagship mechanical 30th anniversary edition costs $780 (about Rs 70,500). That’s pricier than a new PS5. The quartz Play Symbol versions, however, will be priced at $250 (about Rs 22,600).
