Samsung Galaxy A06 is an affordable smartphone with 5G connectivity

Samsung has launched a new affordable smartphone in India for those looking for a cost-effective 5G option. The all-new Samsung Galaxy A06 is a 5G smartphone with a large display, dual cameras, and a MediaTek chipset.

Interestingly, the device also has Ingress Protection for dust and splash resistance. Let’s see the phone’s specifications, features, and price.

Samsung Galaxy A06 specifications and features

The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is a successor to the Galaxy A05 from 2023. The device features a similar design, but with flat sides for a better grip. It has a large 6.7-inch LCD screen with an HD+ resolution and up to 800 nits of peak brightness.

The smartphone boasts a dual camera system on the rear, which is led by a 50MP main sensor having f/1.8 aperture. It is assisted by a 2MP depth sensor. There’s an 8MP single camera on the front for selfies.

The 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset powers the phone and it is paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphical performance. It has up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Samsung has also provided a microSD card slot for additional storage.

As for the battery, the device packs a 5,000mAh cell with support for 25W fast charging support. However, you’ll have to buy the fast charging adapter separately. Other than this, the smartphone has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.

The device boots the latest Android 15 out of the box with One UI 7 on top. What’s great is that Samsung has confirmed four generations of OS and four years of security updates for the phone.

The device also comes with added features like Knox Vault security and Voice Focus to enhance the call clarity. Lastly, it has 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy A06 price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is an affordable smartphone priced starting at Rs 10,499 for the base 4GB + 64GB variant. The 4GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 11,499, and the 6GB + 128GB configuration is priced at Rs 12,999. The device can be purchased from Samsung stores and retail outlets across India.

In the same price range, you can also consider looking at the Vivo Y28e 5G and the Realme C65 5G. Both 5G phones come with dual cameras and pack a large battery.
