Samsung is reportedly bringing back its powerhouse Ultra laptops with the upcoming Galaxy Book 6 series. For those who might not recall, the company’s “Ultra” moniker for its laptops traditionally signifies a maxed-out Windows machine, dedicated graphics card included. This is a departure from the integrated Intel graphics found in its base and Pro models.
Possible launch in either late 2025 or next year
The last time we saw a Galaxy Book Ultra was with the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, which packed either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or an RTX 4070. The subsequent Galaxy Book 5 series opted for the integrated graphics approach.
But now, a report by Sammobile suggests that the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is definitely in the works, and it’s expected to uphold that glorious tradition of dedicated graphics.

While official specs are still under wraps, it’s a pretty safe bet that Samsung will look to Nvidia’s newer RTX 5000 series, which should offer a noticeable bump over the RTX 40 series in the Book 4 Ultra. This would likely pair up with Intel’s Arrow Lake-H processors.
For reference, the current lineup comprises three models: Galaxy Book 5 360, Galaxy Book 5 Pro, and Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360. The next iteration will likely slot in a fourth Ultra model.
As for when you can get your hands on this beast, that’s still a bit of a mystery. Samsung has been known to drop its Galaxy Book series at varied intervals throughout the year. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra debuted in December 2024, while the Book 5 series arrived in September 2025. It’s possible the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra could launch later this year, or perhaps even in 2026. There’s even a chance it could get a dedicated launch event, separate from the rest of the Galaxy Book 6 lineup.
Regardless of the exact launch date, the return of the Galaxy Book Ultra is exciting news for power users, creators, and anyone who demands top-tier performance from their portable machine.
