Buying a new laptop or a phone with a large battery is all well and good. However, whats actually used to charge it, or connect it to other devices is equally important. Namely, an adapter. Ever wondered what an adapter is, and what it does? 

Adapters for connectivity and data transfer

In the context of connectivity and data transfers, an adapter is a simple device that acts as a mediator between different devices that have varied specifications and interfaces. It helps to conduct and maintain connectivity between the two, ensuring smooth operations without any hassle. Adapters usually come in different forms, suited to several different needs in varied scenarios, and help in overcoming challenges pertaining to inter-device compatibility.

On the other hand, adapters in laptops play the very important role of connecting different devices to it. For example, a HDMI or  USB adapter lets a connect it to HDMI enabled monitors or displays, that helps one to experience an immersive multimedia playback experience, and helps multitask better as well. 

Adapters for power supply

In the context of power supply, adapters help convert power from different outlets, plug types and mediate the amount of power coming through, to accommodate the different needs of different devices across regions. For example, if you are travelling to the USA or Europe, they have very different power outlets which require different types of adapters. Here, you have to use adapters compatible with these, to ensure you can charge your smartphones without any issues, and use it without any interruptions.
