Xiaomi has officially confirmed the India launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G, its next mid-range 5G smartphone, scheduled for January 6, 2026. The device was first unveiled in China in August, and the India model arrives with notable upgrades tailored for the local market.
Positioned as a familiar Note-series all-rounder, the Redmi Note 15 5G focuses on improvements across camera hardware, display quality, and durability, targeting buyers in the increasingly competitive upper mid-range segment. Here’s everything that’s known so far.
Redmi Note 15 5G key specs confirmed by Xiaomi
Xiaomi has revealed that the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 15 5G will feature a 108MP primary rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a significant upgrade over the 50MP sensor found on the Chinese version. The camera system will support 4K video recording, underscoring Xiaomi’s growing emphasis on creator-friendly features in this price bracket.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, which the company claims delivers up to 30 per cent better CPU performance and a 10 per cent GPU uplift compared to its predecessor. On the front, the phone sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, and TÜV Triple Eye Care certification.

Other confirmed specifications include a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging, an IP66 rating for dust and splash resistance, and Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared blaster, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.
Redmi Note 15 5G pricing expectations and availability
While Xiaomi has not officially announced pricing, recent tips suggest that the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant could be priced at Rs 22,999, with the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option expected around Rs 24,999. If accurate, this would place the Redmi Note 15 5G firmly in the upper mid-range category.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 5G will be sold via e-commerce websites and offline retail stores across India. More details, including final pricing and launch offers, are expected to be revealed closer to January 6.
