If you are a computing nerd and always have chips and processors in mind, you are probably aware of Computex. The world’s biggest computing event is back, and as expected, on the first day itself, there were several major announcements to watch out for.
But if you missed catching up with all the latest announcements, don’t fret, as we have got you covered with all the coolest announcements we spotted at Computex 2025.
A keyboard that splits into halves
A keyboard that splits into two halves so that you can comfortably game and thrash those WASD keys. The Falcata by Asus is a gaming keyboard worth checking out. It uses the brand’s own ROG HFX V2 magnetic keyboard switches, which feature a customisable key travel of 0.1 to 3.5mm.
What’s interesting is that the keys are swappable, meaning you can throw in Cherry keys and enhance your typing experience. For gamers, there’s an 8,000Hz polling rate. If you don’t understand numbers, that’s how fast the mouse registers key presses, which should enhance your esports gaming experience.
A control pad for content creators
This Computex is proving that the show isn’t always for hardcore geeks. How? Enter the Elgato Stream Deck. As the name suggests, it’s a control pad for all the fellow streamers out there. If you game, work, and record yourself, the Stream Deck helps you with hotkeys for starting a stream and opening different apps.
It’s essentially a pad full of hotkeys and shortcuts. Say you want to quickly open Spotify while streaming or want to record your gameplay, just hit one button, and you’re good to go.
Gaming monitor on steroids
The latest monitor from Asus is basically a gaming monitor on steroids. The ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG is a gaming monitor with a whopping 610Hz refresh rate support. Sounds overkill? Well, it does, but it’s there at Computex and we love it.
The gaming monitor features a Full HD Super TN panel that’s advertised to deliver smooth animations. While the refresh rate is maxed out to 610Hz, the response time has also been dipped down to 0.1ms. There’s G-SYNC compatibility and support for vivid colours as well. All in all, it’s a future-proof gaming monitor for fellow gamers out there.
A handheld with AI
MSI announced the Claw A8 and Claw 8 AI + Polar Tempest Edition. The latter is a cool little handheld with Intel’s Core Ultra 7 processor. For the unversed, it’s an AI-ready chipset, enabling AI features on the handheld.

Other than being an AI handheld console, it also has some solid specifications and features. An 8-inch FHD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Intel Arc graphics, and a 6-cell battery for longer gaming sessions. Notably, it also has the latest connectivity options like Wi-Fi 7.
A designer AI laptop
Another cool MSI gadget is an AI laptop, but wait up. AI isn’t the cool thing here. What’s cool is its design. The Prestige 13 AI+ Ukoyo-e Edition features an eye-catching design, thanks to the use of Ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai’s ‘Great Wave off Kanagawa’ artwork for the lid.
What’s interesting is that it isn’t your usual artwork, but rather a handcrafted lacquerware made using pure gold leaf powder. Are you amazed enough? Well, we love the look of it and knowing the making process makes it a cool laptop to own.
Other than this, the laptop has solid specifications, with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and up to 32GB of RAM. It also has a 13.3-inch 2.8K display and faster PCIe storage.
These are all the cool gadgets we spotted on day one of Computex. Which of these did you find cool? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
