Apple Invites app goes live: How to use it for digital invitations and more

Event planning is not an easy job to do. We live in a time when going to Goa with a bunch of friends takes enough time for the act to become a meme. One can only imagine the stress that goes behind planning larger, more formal events. Apple, thankfully, did think about this, and out of nowhere we now have another Apple app, dedicated solely for event planning. It’s called – Invites!

The new app helps users create digital invitations in seconds, and organise gatherings, manage RSVPs and more, all from one, unified application. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Apple Invites app: What’s new?

The Apple Invites app comes with a number of features. Let’s look at all of the use-cases it powers.

Custom Invitations – Invites lets users select images from the Photos library and quickly create an invitation for any kind of event. If you don’t want to choose your own pictures, you can even select from a curated collection of themed backgrounds.

With your invitation, aspects from other Apple apps like Maps and Weather can also be integrated, giving attendees directions and real-time forecasts. The app also includes Shared Albums, enabling attendees to upload photos and videos, all of which can be gathered in one spot. Guests can also use Apple Music to create collaborative playlists.

Apple Intelligence integration – With Apple Invites, iPhone users who have access to Apple Intelligence can also use the AI suite to generate visuals (Image Playground) or descriptions (Writing Tools). This makes it easy to craft what could look like a well-crafted invitation without a lot of time and effort, unless of course, you want to manually do these things.

Easy Guest RSVPs – While Apple Invites would require you to have an Apple product like an iPhone or an iPad to use, the same is not the case for those who receive an Invites invitation. Senders can send the invitations via links, and guests can RSVP using both the Invites app, as well as via the web.

How to get Apple Invites

To download and use Apple Invites, head to the App Store and search for “Apple Invites”. Tap the app’s listing (the icon looks like an open envelope with a greeting card inside), and tap on ‘Get’ to download the app.

You can now easily use the Apple Invites app. Stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for more iPhone tips, and all things tech.
