US-based wearable brand Whoop, backed by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, has just dropped two new devices: the Whoop 5.0 and Whoop MG (as in medical grade). Alongside the hardware, the company is also rolling out a refreshed app experience and an all-new tiered membership model. If you’ve ever wanted to train like a world-class athlete, or at least track your vitals like one, this might be your moment.
Both wearables boast a redesigned form factor that’s 7 per cent more compact, a marathon-ready 14-day battery life, and powerful new features including on-demand ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and granular hormonal insights. In short, Whoop isn’t just playing catch-up, it’s setting the pace for health and fitness enthusiasts.
Whoop 5.0 and Whoop MG: Pricing, features and membership plans
Whoop is also rethinking how you pay for its wearables with a trio of new memberships – One, Peak, and Life.
Whoop One – $199/year (approx. Rs 17,081)
This is the entry point into the Whoop ecosystem. The One membership includes the Whoop 5.0 band along with a suite of pro-grade metrics including Strain, Recovery, Sleep tracking, VO2 Max, heart rate zones, steps, musculoskeletal load, and even hormone insights. You also get access to Whoop Strength Trainer, designed to measure resistance workouts and aid post-workout recovery.

Whoop Peak – $239/year (approx. Rs 20,515)
For users craving deeper biofeedback, Peak builds on the One plan by adding Health Monitor and Stress Monitor tools that track changes in heart rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen to flag potential issues early. Also bundled in is Whoop Age, a feature that estimates your biological age based on nine key health metrics.
Whoop Life – $359/year (approx. Rs 30,815)
This is the flagship experience aimed at elite performers and data-obsessed health nerds. With Whoop MG, the company enters medical-grade territory. You get advanced ECG, blood pressure readings, and everything from the previous tiers, topped off with a Superknit Luxe band featuring titanium accents and a wireless charger.
What’s new in the app?
The Whoop app gets a meaningful upgrade too, with a focus on long-term health and women’s wellness. New features include hormonal insights for women, updated sleep performance scoring, Whoop Age to quantify physiological aging over time.
Currently, there’s no word on an official India launch, but the devices are already available in some global markets and in India on certain e-commerce websites.
