Best Animation
Before we get to the best anime, let’s start with the most obvious one. The anime that won the best animation is none other than (drumrolls) – Demon Slayer.

Koyoharu Gotouge’s Kimetsu no Yaiba has been consistently winning the award for having the best animation out of the bunch. To win this award, the show beat the likes of Solo Leveling, DAN DA DAN, Kaiju No.8, Delicious in Dungeon, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
Best Romance Anime
Blue Box helmed the title for the Best Romance Anime. It’s a fairly new anime with only one season out. It’s set in school where a third-year student joins the badminton club and tries to impress his crush. The anime has a total of 25 episodes in the first season, and it’s a great show if romance is your genre.

Best Comedy Anime
Next up is the best comedy anime award, and MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLE has won it. The anime is an adaptation of Hajime Komoto’s manga, and it follows a boy who possesses no magical quality in a superficial world where magic is everything. It’s got comedy and a good storyline for those who want to look beyond serious anime.

Best Action Anime/Best New Anime Series
Solo Leveling won the award for the best Action Anime. The nominees for this category were Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, DAN DA DAN, Kaiju No.8, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc, and WIND BREAKER.

Anime Film of the Year 2025
Moving on to the best anime film of the year, and it’s Look Back. Nominees for this category include HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, Look Back, Mononoke The Movie: The Phantom in Rain, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, SPY x FAMILY CODE: White, and The Colors Within.

Anime of the Year 2025
Solo Leveling sliced its way to the top, claiming the coveted Anime of the Year crown. The anime is based on Chu Gong’s popular web novel that tracks the transformation of Sun Jinwoo, who is an E-rank hunter, discovering a mysterious levelling system that lets him become incredibly powerful by soloing dungeons.

Other than this, Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan won the Global Impact Award, and Demon Slayer’s Hashira Training Arc won the award for the best continuing anime series.
