Dell is turning up the heat in India’s consumer tech space with a fresh wave of laptops. On one side, there’s the all-new Dell Plus series. These are productivity powerhouses wrapped in sleek metal, powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 Series chips. On the other, Alienware has dropped a new Area-51 and Aurora 16X lineup that’s basically gamer catnip with blistering refresh rates, RTX 50 series GPUs, and thermal systems worthy of a spaceship.
Whether you’re editing videos in a café or fragging your way through a 6-hour marathon, Dell’s new devices want to be your all-day, all-play companion. Here’s everything you need to know.
The AMD-powered Dell Plus series is all about smart productivity
The Dell 14 Plus, Dell 14 2-in-1 Plus, and Dell 16 Plus are crafted for creators, commuters, and multitaskers who like their machines lean, powerful, and AI-enhanced. These laptops feature AMD’s Ryzen AI chips, built for smarter performance, including background noise cancellation and webcam enhancements for those never-ending Zoom calls.
The 16 Plus claims a whopping 22-hour battery life, while the 14 2-in-1 Plus still offers an impressive 19 hours and a versatile 360-degree hinge. You can sketch, swipe, and flip between modes, with support for Dell’s Active Pen (sold separately).

The laptops feature 16:10 FHD+ displays across the board, with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos speakers, and Realtek SounzReal audio to keep Netflix binging or video calls crisp and immersive. All models support Wi-Fi 7, AI-tuned battery life, and Dell ExpressCharge, which tops you up to 80 per cent in just an hour.
Sustainability also gets a front-row seat. The new Dell Plus range is made with recycled aluminium, ocean-bound plastics, and steel; backed by EPEAT Gold with Climate+ and ENERGY STAR 9.0 certifications.
Dell’s new Alienware gaming laptops are basically jet engines with screens
On the flip side, Alienware’s Area-51m R2 (16 and 18-inch) and 16X Aurora are for gamers who want nothing short of warp-speed performance.
We’re talking Intel Core Ultra HX processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics, and the newest Cryo-Tech cooling. It comes with translucent thermal shelves, Cryo Chamber architecture, and a thermal compound called Element 31. So, you can have longer gaming sessions without frying your fingertips.

The displays are pure eye candy. The 16-inch and 18-inch Area-51 machines rock WQXGA panels with 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour, and up to 300Hz refresh rates. The 18-inch model packs a 96WHr battery, offering up to 35 per cent more battery life than its predecessor.
Meanwhile, the more travel-friendly 16X Aurora keeps things stealthy. It includes a 16-inch 240Hz panel with G-SYNC, plus a “Stealth Mode” that tones down lighting and fan noise for quiet missions.
New Dell Plus (AMD) and Alienware laptops: Pricing and availability
The Dell Plus series starts at Rs 76,400 for the Dell 16 Plus, Rs 76,940 for the Dell 14 Plus, and Rs 87,670 for the Dell 14 2-in-1 Plus.
