At the CES 2026, Dell has unveiled its latest premium productivity laptops and high-performance gaming systems. The company confirmed major updates across its XPS and Alienware brands, highlighting new designs, next-generation processors, and a broader range of devices aimed at different types of users.
Dell XPS: Premium design meets next-generation performance
Dell has officially brought back the XPS branding with the introduction of the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 laptops. The refreshed models adopt a CNC-machined aluminium chassis and place the XPS logo more prominently on the lid, reinforcing their premium positioning.
Dell claims these are its thinnest XPS laptops to date, measuring just 14.6mm, while also being lighter than the previous generation. Both laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, paired with integrated Intel Arc graphics featuring 12 Xe cores. Dell says this combination delivers noticeable gains in AI-driven tasks and graphics performance compared to older XPS models.
Display options include tandem OLED and high-resolution LCD panels, aimed at creators and professionals. Thermal management has also been reworked with larger, thinner fans to keep noise levels in check. Battery life is another focus area, with Dell claiming up to 27 hours of Netflix streaming and over 40 hours of video playback on a single charge.
Alienware: Broader gaming lineup with new form factors
Alongside XPS, Dell has significantly expanded its Alienware gaming portfolio. The Alienware 16X Aurora, Alienware 16 Area-51, and Alienware 18 Area-51 laptops have been refreshed with Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Series laptop GPUs, going up to the RTX 5090.
A few models now feature anti-glare OLED displays designed to reduce reflections while maintaining fast response times and deep contrast. Dell has also confirmed updates for desktop gamers, announcing a refreshed Alienware Area-51 desktop powered by AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors and Nvidia RTX 50 Series graphics.
Beyond high-end systems, Alienware is preparing two new categories. One is an ultra-slim gaming laptop just 17mm thick, coming in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The other is a new entry-level Alienware gaming laptop, aimed at delivering solid gaming performance at more accessible price points.
Price and availability
Dell stated that the XPS 14 and XPS 16 will begin shipping in markets from March 2026, with pricing to be announced closer to launch. The refreshed Alienware laptops are expected to roll out in Q1 2026, while the updated Alienware Area-51 desktop is scheduled for February 2026. Pricing for the new Alienware models, including the ultra-slim and entry-level laptops, will be revealed later.
