For anime fans, 2025 has been a whirlwind year. Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle Arc stormed into theatres, instantly cementing itself as one of the most jaw-dropping spectacles anime has ever delivered. But for anyone hoping to stream it from the comfort of their couch on their TV, there’s a catch; Crunchyroll has now confirmed the arc won’t land on its platform until 2026.
A clash worth the wait
Mitchel Berger, Executive VP of Global Commerce at Crunchyroll, made it very clear. The only way to experience Infinity Castle in 2025 is in theatres. And honestly, there’s no shame in that.
If the Mugen Train film was an appetiser, this arc is the multi-course banquet Ufotable has been preparing for years. A sprawling showdown where every Hashira gets their spotlight and Muzan finally steps into the centre of the storm.
In Japan, the film is already climbing the box office charts with the kind of momentum that would make even Dragon Ball’s Goku raise an eyebrow. Fans who caught it on the big screen are raving about the kaleidoscopic visuals, the thunderous score, and the emotional gut-punches that rivalled the infamous “Rengoku moment”.
For those waiting on streaming, the anticipation is now stretched just a little longer, though.
The endgame of a phenomenon
The Infinity Castle Arc isn’t just another season; it’s the final chapter of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga brought to life. This is the stage where Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira step into their last battles, and where decades of shōnen storytelling tradition get distilled into one ultimate face-off.

Crunchyroll hasn’t revealed an exact streaming date, but with the announcement, it’s clear that 2026 will belong to Demon Slayer all over again. Until then, the theatre experience is the only ticket into Muzan’s lair. And if the first instalment is anything to go by, it’s worth every second of the wait.
