Fujifilm India has launched the Instax Mini Evo Cinema, a hybrid instant camera designed for people who like to mix digital shooting with physical prints. Positioned within the Evo Series, the new model blends still photography, short video capture and smartphone printing in a single device, leaning into cinematic storytelling rather than pure nostalgia alone.
The Mini Evo Cinema is aimed at users who move easily between phone cameras and dedicated devices but still enjoy the tactile appeal of Instax prints. By combining screen-based framing with instant output, Fujifilm is pitching the camera as a modern take on how moments are captured, shared and kept.
A hybrid instant camera with a cinematic angle
Like other Evo Series models, the Mini Evo Cinema uses a rear LCD screen for composing shots, letting users review images before choosing what to print. Alongside still photos, the camera also records short video clips, which form the centrepiece of its “Cinema” identity.

These clips are converted into QR codes and printed directly onto Instax mini film alongside a selected still frame. Scanning the code plays back the video, effectively allowing users to share a physical print that links to a moving moment. It is a simple idea, but one that fits neatly with the way short-form video dominates everyday sharing.
Creative controls are built around a new “Eras Dial”, which offers 10 film-inspired effects, including a 1960 preset modelled on the look of 8mm film cameras. Each effect includes 10 intensity levels, giving users a wide range of visual combinations across both photos and videos.
Design rooted in Fujifilm’s film heritage
The Instax Mini Evo Cinema leans heavily into Fujifilm’s history in motion picture cameras. Its vertical grip design is inspired by the FUJICA Single-8 8mm camera launched in 1965, paired with analogue-style dials and controls that encourage a more hands-on shooting experience.
Fujifilm says this approach is meant to make framing and printing feel deliberate, echoing the physical rituals of film photography while keeping the convenience of digital capture.
Companion app and smartphone printing
A dedicated companion app extends the Mini Evo Cinema’s functionality beyond the camera itself. Users can join multiple video clips, apply cinematic opening and end templates, and make basic edits before sharing content digitally.

The app also supports direct printing from smartphones, allowing photos stored on a phone to be turned into Instax mini prints. This feature is likely to appeal to users who shoot primarily on mobile but want occasional physical keepsakes without carrying a separate printer.
Instax Mini Evo Cinema India price and availability
In India, the Instax Mini Evo Cinema Premium Edition is available as a Combo Box priced at Rs 47,999. The package includes the camera and two packs of Instax mini glossy film, with 10 shots per pack.
Pre-bookings are open from January 21 to January 27 via Instax’s website. Customers who pre-book during this window will receive two additional designer Instax mini film packs as part of the launch offer. Retail availability and dispatches are scheduled to begin nationwide from January 28.
With its mix of video capture, instant printing and film-inspired design, the Instax Mini Evo Cinema shows how Fujifilm is evolving its instant camera line to match contemporary sharing habits, without losing the appeal that made Instax popular in the first place.
