GTA 6 could be the most expensive game at launch; Here’s how much it may cost

Gamers have been eagerly waiting for GTA 6 release even after multiple delays and constant speculation. It is expected to launch in November this year. The game once again is in the spotlight, this time over its leaked pricing, courtesy of an online retailer.

GTA 6 leaked pricing details

An online retailer Loaded (formerly CD Keys), has listed GTA 6 on its digital storefront. Before we get to the leaked prices, it’s worth noting that the number is placeholder pricing, which is not confirmed by the game developer yet.

The GTA 6 is listed for $124.19 (roughly Rs 10,431) for the Xbox X and S series. There is another listing for PC, where the game can be played via Rockstar Games Launcher. The retailer mentions a $84.19 (roughly Rs 7,071) price tag. Notably, Rockstar has not confirmed the game’s release on the PC platform. It will be released on Sony PlayStation as well. The prices are for the standard edition of the game on both platforms

The GTA 6’s leaked price is for the digital version, so the physical copy could even cost more. Loaded has likely uploaded the listing to gauge gamer interest. Hence, it’s important to take this leaked development with a healthy pinch of salt.

Most AAA publishers are shifting to $80 base pricing base pricing for bigger games due to advanced graphics and features. If the leak indeed turns out to be true, GTA 6 could set a new benchmark for the costliest newly released game for the standard edition.

GTA 6 was supposed to release in May this year, but it got delayed to November. We can expect more leaks about the game to gather pace in the coming months.
