Out of nowhere, Rockstar dropped the second trailer for GTA 6, and it reveals a lot about the game. From character names and their backgrounds to in-game features, the trailer sheds light on key things players can experience within the upcoming game.
And like us, if you have been waiting for the trailer for a long time, here’s everything you need to know as you prepare yourself to experience the long-awaited GTA 6.
GTA 6 trailer 2: Everything you need to know
The latest trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI opens with scenic views of the Florida-esque shoreline. We see Jason, one of the game’s protagonists, fixing leaky pipes in what appears to be a beachside home.

Seconds later, we’re into the pulse of Vice City. Jason is behind the wheel, causally driving. That’s where we see sweeping glimpses of the city. Sharp-dressed NPCs, chaotic traffic, and ever-watchful cops are all we get to see.
The trailer proceeds with Jason trying to meet with his partner in crime, Lucia Caminos, who seems to be getting out of prison. This appears to be the start of the game, but we’ll figure out how Rockstar plans to show this cutscene.
Further, the trailer also shows the duo performing different heists, swinging by the beach, and readying themselves for club parties. We also get a look at some of the side characters, including some buffed-up gangsters and corrupt cops.
While the trailer largely offers cinematic cutscenes, it does give a lot more than the original trailer. Rockstar went with a more action-oriented trailer approach here, and it does nothing but excite us more.
Thankfully, this time we know the exact release date, which, by the way, is May 26, 2026. Towards the end of the trailer, Rockstar seemingly confirms that GTA 6 will mostly arrive on consoles first, followed by PC.
