How to create your very own AI generative wallpapers on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series

Samsung made ripples with its announcement of AI-led features for its S24 series. In fact, the smartphones come with a One UI version 6.1 that powers a number of AI and LLM features within them. Christened Galaxy AI, some of these popular features include Circle To Search and Tone Assist for users while typing.

Among these is the AI generative wallpapers, which utilises artificial intelligence to generate unlimited wallpapers. Here’s how to make the most of this feature on your Samsung Galaxy S24 devices.

AI generative wallpapers: What's there to know?

Previously, Samsung only allowed users to tweak and change the layout of pictures within its One UI user experience. However, the wallpaper tool on Galaxy S24 smartphones will now let you select from among a variety of prompts to generate a bunch of new wallpapers for your device. These prompts could be a combination of colours, subjects and styles that can help create an entirely unique AI wallpaper for you.

The fun feature is easy to use and can come up with vibrant pictures and can also be shared as your distinctive creation.

To begin using this feature, pinch the home screen to access Wallpaper and Styles. Further, tap on Change Wallpapers and then on Generative within the Creative category. You will find the wallpapers segregated into nine themes, these include: Imaginary, Night, Painting, Terrain, Mineral, Luminous, Soft-focus, Translucent, and Bloom.

Each theme you select will have its own catchphrase. For instance, if you pick Imaginary, your prompt should have: A surreal […] made of […] in shades of […],” where […]. This phrase will differ from category to category. While you cannot create a new prompt, Samsung allows you to fill in the blanks with keywords to create unique images indefinitely.

Once you’ve finalised your theme and keyword, tap on Generate to create your very own AI wallpaper for your Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone. If you don’t like a certain wallpaper, you can keep making more and save it by tapping on Set. Samsung will also give you the option of setting it as your Lock or Home screen wallpaper.

It is crucial to note that unless you don’t set your wallpaper, Samsung won’t save your creation and you might never see it again. Alternatively, a previously set wallpaper can be found within the Generative list.

With these steps, you’re all set to go crazy on your digital canvas. While the creations may not vastly differ from each other or seem rehashed, we’re sure future versions may improve upon this feature to give us a wider scope and generate photos with a more free hand.
