At CES 2026, HP has updated its gaming laptop portfolio with new hardware aimed at different types of users. The refreshed lineup includes the HyperX Omen Max 16, the updated Omen 16, and the Victus 15, each addressing a specific performance and pricing segment while introducing notable internal upgrades.
HP HyperX Omen Max 16 specifications
The HyperX Omen Max 16 sits at the top of HP’s gaming stack and is designed for users who prioritise sustained performance. It supports up to 300W of total platform power, a sizeable jump over the previous generation. Buyers can choose between Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors or AMD Ryzen AI HX chips, paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU options.
Cooling has been reworked with Omen Tempest Cooling Pro, which adds a third fan and an automatic airflow reversal system to manage dust. Display options include a 16-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, HDR brightness up to 500 nits, and full DCI-P3 colour coverage, alongside IPS alternatives. HP also integrates a high polling rate keyboard, custom lighting, and Omen AI for automatic performance tuning.d

Positioned below it, the Omen 16 focuses on balancing power and portability. It supports AMD Ryzen AI 9, AI 7, and AI 5 processors with up to 50 NPU TOPS, along with Intel Core Ultra H-series and some 14th-generation HX chips. Graphics options go up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050.
The laptop offers multiple 16-inch display choices, with the top configuration delivering WQXGA resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness. Memory goes up to 32GB DDR5, storage reaches 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD, and connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, USB Type-C with DisplayPort, and a 1080p webcam. Battery capacity peaks at 83Wh with fast charging support.
HP Victus 15 specifications
The Victus 15 continues as HP’s more affordable gaming option. It features AMD Ryzen 8000 series or Intel 13th-generation Core processors, paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 to RTX 4060 GPUs or AMD Radeon RX 6550M. The laptop includes a 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz IPS display, dual-channel memory support, PCIe Gen4 storage, DTS:X Ultra audio, and battery options ranging from 52.5Wh to 70Wh.
Price and availability
The Omen Max 16 Gaming Laptop is expected to go on sale in the coming months via HP.com, with prices starting at $1,699.99. The Omen 16 Gaming Laptop will follow in March, positioned slightly below the Max model with a starting price of $1,599.99.

Meanwhile, the Victus 15 Gaming Laptop is set to arrive earlier, with availability beginning in January at a starting price of $1,199.99. HP has also confirmed that an enhanced version of the Victus 15 will launch in May, although pricing details for this upgraded variant are yet to be announced.
