Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, one of the greatest movies in cinema history, recently completed its 10-year anniversary. Celebrating the success and its legacy, Warner Brothers has been re-releasing the movie in IMAX across the globe. However, this didn’t happen in India due to the dates clashing with another major release in the country. Well, that changes now.
Recognising that a lot of fans in India still want to catch the iconic movie on an IMAX screen, Warner Brothers India has now brought the re-release to several IMAX screens in India on February 7.
Interstellar re-release India: How to get tickets
To book your tickets, users can simply head over to BookMyShow (the app or the website) to secure their tickets on an IMAX screen of their choice. Once the tickets are booked, you can catch the movie just like any other regular movie on Friday, February 7.
Why you must watch Interstellar on an IMAX screen
When Interstellar originally released across India and the world a decade ago in 2014, IMAX screens were around, but weren’t as popular, often looked at as simply larger, more expensive screens. However, that’s no longer the case today.
An IMAX movie screen offers a much superior visual and audio experience. From a taller aspect ratio and higher picture resolution to much more immersive surround sound, watching the same movie on an IMAX screen can be a whole different experience altogether – a much better than the screen on your laptops and smartphones.

Interstellar, which was specially made to be watched on IMAX screens, is a prime example of this. Everything from special high-end cameras to top-notch visual effects have gone into the movie to make several scenes look as great as they do.
This includes the cornfield chase, the skyscraper waves on Miller’s planet, the icy planes on Mann’s planet and of course, the famous docking scene and black hole towards the end of the film. All of these are iconic scenes, which truly come to life when seen on an IMAX screen. So, if you’re a fan of cinematic movies, do yourself a favour and get yourself a ticket right away.
