Apple is all set to unveil the next iteration of iOS at WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) 2025. While we all assumed iOS 18’s next version will be called iOS 19, a recent report shed light on its possible new name — iOS 26. The latest details about the operating system are now out, and it’s all set to offer an improved user experience. Here’s everything you need to know.
Everything you need to know about iOS 26
Apple’s iOS 26 is said to be one of the biggest updates in a while for iPhones. As per 9to5Mac, Apple will introduce a couple of new features in iOS 26. This includes automatic translation in the Messages app. The feature will automatically translate messages into the language you speak, making it easy for people to communicate globally.
In addition to this, the Messages app is also expected to support other features. Including the ability to create polls, a feature similar to WhatsApp. This feature could be powered by Apple Intelligence, so users get to see relevant poll suggestions based on the chat.
Other than this, iOS 26 may bring animated album art to the Lock Screen. This album art will be the same as the one seen inside Apple Music. Lastly, Apple is expected to upgrade the CarPlay experience with a new design. Not many details are available as of now, but we should learn more about it in the coming days.
