iQOO Z10R launched, boasts an IP69 rating at a price you wouldn’t expect

iQOO has just dropped its latest Z-series phone, the iQOO Z10R. While the phone packs all the bells and whistles you can expect for around the price, one of the features is something not even most flagships can boast – an IP69 rating.

iQOO Z10R: Specs and features

Let’s get that out of the way first. We’re all familiar with IP68, which means a phone can survive being submerged in water. But the iQOO Z10R adds an IP69 rating, which is typically reserved for industrial equipment, signifying protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.

As for why a phone might need this, it’s obviously not there for your daily coffee spill. But it’s an insane level of durability for a phone starting at just Rs 19,499.

On the front of the Z10R is a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits peak brightness. Driving that screen is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 chipset, a 4nm octa-core processor that should deliver plenty of punch for daily use and gaming, especially when paired with up to 12GB of RAM (plus another 12GB of virtual RAM).

For photos, iQOO has equipped the Z10R with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor, though it’s paired with a simple 2MP secondary lens. The real surprise is on the front, with a 32MP selfie camera. In a nice touch, both the front and rear cameras are capable of shooting 4K video.

Powering this whole package is a giant 5700mAh battery, which should easily provide all-day endurance. The charging is a respectable 44W. The phone will run Android 15 out of the box with a promise of two major OS updates and three years of security patches.

iQOO Z10R: Price and availability

The iQOO Z10R will be available on iQOO’s eStore and other e-commerce platforms starting July 29. Pricing is set at Rs 19,499 for the 8GB/128GB model, Rs 21,499 for the 8GB/256GB version, and Rs 23,499 for the top-tier 12GB/256GB configuration, with launch offers sweetening the deal.

For around the same price, you can also check out the Nothing Phone 2a Plus and the Samsung Galaxy A16. The launch of this new iQOO comes on the heels of the Z10 Lite 5G, which arrived late last month.
