Lava has launched a new smartphone that’s targeted towards gamers on a budget. Dubbed the Lava Play Max, it’s a 5G smartphone that features a large display with high refresh rate support. It also packs MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset for gaming, and there’s a dedicated cooling system to maintain the phone’s thermals. Here’s all you need to know about the phone.
Lava Play Max key specifications and features
The new Lava Play Max comes with a clean design, yet it packs gaming-ready hardware. It boasts a 6.72-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The smartphone houses a dedicated vapour chamber cooling system to maintain thermals. The device runs Android 15 out of the box, and Lava says that it doesn’t have pre-installed bloatware. As for the cameras, it gets a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP selfie snapper.

For all-day usage, it has a 5,000mAh battery. The battery can be fast-charged with the 33W fast charging adapter that comes with the box. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
Lava Play Max price and availability
The Lava Play Max starts at Rs 12,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and Rs 14,499 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. It comes in Himalayan White and Deccan Black colour options.
In the same price segment, you can also check out the Vivo T4x 5G and the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Both come with similar features.
