Apple is expanding the creative toolkit for musicians and producers with the latest Logic Pro updates for Mac and iPad, adding deeper control, smarter automation, and high-fidelity tools purpose-built for modern beat making. Whether you’re crafting tight hip-hop grooves or sculpting layered electronic compositions, Logic Pro’s latest features bring added nuance and power to the process.
Stem Splitter gets sharper and more selective
Stem Splitter, the AI-powered feature that lets users isolate parts of an audio file, now offers enhanced audio fidelity and expanded stem options. In addition to vocals, drums, and bass, users can now extract guitar and piano stems with remarkable clarity, even from older demos or rough mixes. With built-in presets for acapella or instrumental variations, the update makes it easier to dial in exactly the elements needed.
A new submix option allows for targeted exports, like pulling only drums and synths from a track, creating cleaner workflows for remixing or layering.
Flashback Capture rewinds your unrecorded ideas
For artists working in the moment, Flashback Capture introduces a low-key but high-impact feature: the ability to retrieve performances even if you forgot to press record. Both MIDI and audio inputs are continuously buffered in the background, ready to be recalled via a single command.

When used with Cycle mode, the feature organises each improvised pass into a structured take folder, giving spontaneous creativity a second chance to be captured and refined.
Fresh sound packs, new textures
Logic Pro’s new sound packs provide rich material for experimentation. Dancefloor Rush brings over 400 drum-and-bass loops, kits, and a Live Loops grid for instant groove building. Magnetic Imperfections leans into lo-fi analogue charm with tape-inspired textures. And the Tosin Abasi pack delivers precision metal tones, unique effects chains, and signature guitar riffs that push genre boundaries.
On iPad, MIDI mapping is made effortless
With the arrival of Learn MIDI on iPad, users can now quickly assign physical knobs, buttons, and faders to virtual controls inside Logic. The interface offers real-time visual feedback, making it easy to map controls to plug-ins and instruments without breaking creative flow. It’s a powerful upgrade for mobile producers working with external gear.
Logic Pro 11.2 for Mac and 2.2 for iPad are available now as free updates. New users can purchase Logic Pro for Mac for $199.99 or subscribe on iPad for $4.99/month or $49/year.
In India, you can expect these prices to be around Rs 17,000, Rs 430/month, and Rs 4,200/year, respectively. For full compatibility, macOS Sequoia 15.4 or iPadOS 18.4 is required.
