Meta has introduced its first prescription-optimised Ray-Ban AI glasses, giving its smart glasses lineup a more practical update for people who actually wear specs every day.
While prescription lenses were already possible on older Ray-Ban Meta models, these new designs are built more intentionally around comfort, fit, and all-day use. It is a fairly straightforward upgrade, but also one of the more useful ones Meta has made to its wearable lineup so far.
Meta Ray-Ban gets prescription-friendly frames and more useful AI
The new styles are called Blayzer and Scriber. Blayzer has a rectangular frame and comes in Standard and Large sizes, while Scriber has a rounded design. Both include features like overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and optician-adjustable temple tips to make them easier to wear with prescription lenses.
Meta is also adding new frame and lens combinations across the wider Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta range, including Transitions and Prizm lens options for different lighting conditions.
On the software side, Meta is expanding the AI features too. New additions include nutrition tracking, which lets users log meals using voice or photos, and hands-free WhatsApp tools such as message summaries and conversation recall.

There is also a new neural handwriting input feature on Meta Ray-Ban Display, which lets users write messages using finger gestures on a surface instead of speaking out loud. Upcoming features also include display recording and turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation shown directly in the lens.
Meta Ray-Ban Blayzer and Scriber price and availability
The Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2) start at $499 (roughly Rs 46,800). They are available for pre-order now via Meta.com and Ray-Ban.com in the US, and will begin rolling out through optical retailers in the US and some international markets from April 14.
