Motorola has joined the slim trend with its latest smartphone. Dubbed the Moto X70 Air, the device takes on the iPhone Air with its slim and stylish design. It boasts a 6mm thin build, yet offers a large battery and Snapdragon performance. Here’s all you need to know.
Everything special about the Moto X70 Air
The Moto X70 Air is unlike any other Motorola smartphone. It’s super slim at 6mm and is also lightweight, weighing under 159 grams. That’s lighter than the iPhone Air’s 165 grams, but slightly thicker, as the iPhone boasts only 5.6mm thickness.
Despite being slim and light, it doesn’t compromise on features. You get a large 6.7-inch pOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. It features 4,500 nits of peak brightness for better sunlight legibility.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset takes care of the performance, and the 12GB LPDDR5X RAM ensures apps stay in memory. There’s 512GB UFS 3.1 storage as well to store all your apps and games.
The device packs a 4,800mAh cell, which is pretty decent given it’s a 6mm thin phone. It supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging for quick top-ups.
Unlike iPhone Air’s single camera, you get multiple cameras on the X70 Air. There’s a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide unit for group shots. You also get a 50MP selfie snapper. Notably, the main sensor supports OIS for stable footage.

Motorola has also offered IP68 and IP69 ratings for added durability. It boots on Android 16, which means you get all the latest perks.
Motorola hasn’t revealed the price of the Moto X70 Air, but we should learn more about it later this month. The device is said to hit shelves on October 31 in China. It will launch globally as Motorola Edge 70 on November 50.
