Motorola has been in the foldable phone space for several years. While competing brands offer both vertical and horizontal book-style foldable phones, the Lenovo-owned brand has so far limited its Razr lineup to flip-style designs. Today, at the CES 2026 tech exhibition, Motorola unveiled a new range of products, including the Razr Fold, marking its first foldable phone with a book-style form factor.
Motorola Razr Fold: Specs and features
While the Razr Fold has gone official, Motorola has only confirmed select details such as the display, cameras, and build. The remaining specifications are expected to be revealed at a later stage.
The Razr Fold features an 8.09-inch foldable OLED LTPO panel on the inside, offering a 2K resolution. A punch-hole cut-out positioned in the upper-right corner houses a 20MP selfie camera.
On the outside, the device sports a 6.56-inch OLED display along with a 32MP front-facing camera. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Sony Lytia main camera with OIS, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens that supports macro shooting, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. In addition to advanced stabilisation while recording, the phone will also support Dolby Vision video recording.
On the software front, the Razr Fold is expected to run Android 16 with Hello UX layered on top. Motorola claims the interface will deliver flexible layouts, adaptive interfaces, and enhanced multitasking features.
In terms of capabilities, the Razr Fold will offer AI tools such as Catch Me Up and Next Move. There is also support for the Moto Pen Ultra, a stylus offering features like pressure sensitivity, tilt detection, and palm rejection.
Motorola Razr Fold: Price and availability
At present, there is no official information regarding the Motorola Razr Fold’s pricing and availability, but it is expected to launch later this year. The device will be available in two Pantone colour options, Lily White and Blackened Blue, both featuring a vegan leather finish.
