Nothing Phone (3) design revealed in high detail

Sleek, stripped-down, and likely to turn heads

Nothing Phone (3) design revealed in high detail

If the Nothing Phone (2) flirted with minimalism, the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) seems ready to commit. Just weeks before its official debut on July 1, high-quality renders of the phone have surfaced online courtesy of trusted tipster Max Jambor. And they’re as clean, understated, and intriguing as you’d expect from Carl Pei’s design-first tech brand. Let’s delve in.

Minimalism maxed out

Let’s get the big news out of the way, the glyph is gone. The blinking, buzzing back-panel LED system that made Nothing phones instantly recognisable is officially being phased out; for the flagship at least. The leaked white-hued render reveals a device that still carries Nothing’s signature visual DNA (transparent elements, circuit-inspired stripes), but with a noticeable shift in tone. It’s less cyberpunk showpiece, more minimalist luxury with a tech twist.

The form factor looks curvier than the more budget-focused Phone (3a) and bears a closer resemblance to the Phone (2a) in its silhouette. Flat-edged frames make a return, presumably metal, while the rear panel appears to be polished glass. But here’s the kicker – while earlier rumours hinted at a dot matrix display replacing the glyph system, the render doesn’t confirm it. Though a slim middle strip on the back could hide it in plain sight.

In true Nothing fashion, it’s the details that demand a second glance. There’s what appears to be a new “Essential Key” tucked subtly under the power button. Its purpose remains a mystery but may tie into Nothing OS’s growing focus on customisation and gesture-based interactions.

The volume buttons remain on the left, and the triple camera array on the back breaks with symmetry traditions. Expect the usual suspects on the camera front – wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto, if the rumour mill is to be trusted.

With leaks pointing to a $799 price tag in the US (approx. Rs 68,300) for the 12GB + 256GB model and $899 (approx. Rs 76,800) for the 16GB + 512GB variant, the Phone (3) is Nothing’s most expensive handset yet.

Given Nothing’s past pricing patterns, India might see a slightly more competitive sticker price. You can expect it to cost around Rs 60,000 or lower; but that’s speculation for now.
