The Nothing Phone (3) is all set to launch next month globally, including in India. Ahead of its launch, Nothing is dropping several teasers of the device, revealing its key highlights.
Only recently, we learnt that the phone will pack a Snapdragon chipset. Now, we have more insights that reveal its software update policy. And, it’s nothing but good news. So, stick around to learn more about the Nothing Phone (3).
Everything we know about the Nothing Phone (3)
Being a flagship-grade device, the Nothing Phone (3) is confirmed to get many years of software support. The company co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, revealed the Phone (3) will receive seven years of software support. This includes five years of OS updates and seven years of security patches.
Evangelidis hints that such long software support is possible due to the new Snapdragon chipset inside the phone, which is nothing but the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. While this isn’t the most powerful chipset by Qualcomm, it’s still a recent SoC that offers flagship-grade performance.
Apart from this, the Phone (3) is expected to come with a dot matrix display on the rear, which will replace the Glyph interface. The device may get a large OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is also expected to get the Essential Key, which we have already seen on the Phone (3a).
The Phone (3) may also bring battery improvements, followed by booting on the latest Android software. It may have an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and a water-resistant body.
