Nothing recently launched the Phone (3a) Lite in India, and it comes under Rs 20,000, making it a value-for-money option. But in the same segment, you also get the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which is slightly cheaper and has a semi-modular back.

The Phone (3a) Lite and the CMF Phone 2 Pro look significantly different, but have similar features under the hood. Starting with design, the (3a) Lite borrows transparent design aesthetics from the (3a), whereas the CMF Phone 2 Pro gets a back with solid colours.

The Phone (3a) Lite, however, has Panda Glass back, which looks a tad more premium. The plastic back panel is swappable, but it may not appeal to those looking for premium aesthetics with their devices.

Both feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The screen protection and the resolution are exactly the same, i.e., Panda Glass and an FHD+ resolution.

Coming to the cameras, the CMF Phone 2 Pro takes the lead with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide unit. The Phone (3a) Lite gets a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro sensor.

The selfie camera stays the same on both phones, i.e., a 16MP snapper. Notably, both phones can shoot 4K video from the rear camera and 1080p videos from the front cameras.

Nothing Phone (3a) Lite vs CMF Phone 2 Pro: Performance, battery, software

Both the Phone (3a) Lite and the CMF Phone 2 Pro offer similar performance and have the same software experience. Why? They both are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and have Android 15 OS out of the box with Nothing OS 3 on top.

The duo also have the same 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for multitasking and storing media. Apart from this, other software features also remain similar.

Overall, for Rs 20,999, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite offers an improved design while offering the same performance. For Rs 18,999, the CMF Phone 2 Pro offers improved cameras, but you get a plastic back.
