CMF isn’t just dabbling in the audio space anymore, it’s swinging straight into the heavyweight league. The brand, known for adding a playful splash of colour and thoughtful tweaks to everyday tech, has now stepped into the over-ear headphones game with the CMF Headphone Pro.
On paper, they tick nearly every premium feature box. They’re packing 40mm drivers, up to 40dB Active Noise Cancellation, and Hi-Res audio; but it’s the outrageous 100-hour battery life that instantly turns heads. That’s not just long-lasting, that’s forget-your-charger-on-a-weekend-trip long-lasting. Here’s a closer look at CMF’s first headphones.
CMF Headphone Pro launched: Specs and features
The Headphone Pro is CMF’s very first over-ear headset, and it comes dressed to impress. Alongside serious audio credentials, there’s a playful CMF twist. Swappable ear cushions! Not only do they extend the life of your cans by letting you replace worn-out pads, but they also give you the option to swap in bold shades like Orange or Light Green, a subtle nod to fashion-meets-function.
The controls get a clever redesign too. Forget fiddly buttons; you get a roller dial that doubles as a volume knob, ANC toggle, and play/pause switch. Then there’s the intriguingly named “Energy Dial”, which lets you push bass or treble depending on your vibe. Turn it down for a podcast, crank it up for a club playlist, it’s your choice. A customisation button is also added to the mix, which provides one-tap access to Spatial Audio and your AI assistant of choice.
Audio performance leans on 40mm nickel-plated diaphragms designed to cut distortion and deliver cleaner highs. Support for SBC and LDAC codecs ensures high-quality wireless streaming, while the Nothing X app unlocks a deeper layer of tuning and personalisation.
And yes, the ANC is rated at up to 40dB, putting it shoulder to shoulder with Nothing’s own Headphone (1). In practice, that means tuning out the chaos of your commute or the constant hum of your AC unit.
But it’s the battery life that changes the game. With a jaw-dropping 100 hours of playback and 50 hours of talktime, these headphones outlast nearly everything in their price tier. If you do run out, a five-minute USB-C quick charge pumps in another five hours of listening. Bonus, it also supports USB-C wired audio playback.
CMF Headphone Pro: Price and availability
The CMF Headphone Pro lands with a surprisingly accessible price tag. It’s priced at $99 in the US (around Rs 8,000). European buyers will see a slightly higher price, it’s costs €99 (about Rs 10,000), while the UK gets them at £79 (about Rs 9,500). An India launch hasn’t been confirmed yet, and given how price-sensitive the market is, that’s something to watch closely.
