OnePlus Nord CE4 launched in India with 100W fast charging

If it feels like there hasn’t been a new OnePlus Nord in a while, its because there hasn’t. With the OnePlus Nord 3 and Nord CE3 having launched mid-2023, and the Nord CE3 Lite launched almost a year ago, it was time for a new OnePlus Nord launch. Thankfully, a new Nord phone was exactly what OnePlus dropped today.

The new affordable phone in the series, the OnePlus Nord CE4 comes with some updated, powerful specifications, newer software, all in a value-for-money package. Here’s all you need to know about it.

OnePlus Nord CE4: What’s new?

The highlight of the new phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip powering the device. The chip offers more bang for buck compared to the Snapdragon 782G on the CE3 and should offer better multi-tasking, faster photos, transfers and even a better gaming experience.

OnePlus has also taken some design cues from its flagship smartphones here, giving the OnePlus Nord CE4 a sleek design, as well as a nice pattern on one of the two variants of the phone.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 also packs the same Aqua Touch display that’s present on the OnePlus 12, which should allow for easier operation when the screen is wet. The display here itself is a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. This panel also unsurprisingly includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Other specifications here include up to 8GB RAM with support for another 8GB virtual RAM, along with a large 5,500mAh battery. While it’s not as large as the 6,000mAh battery on the new Tecno Pova 6 Pro, it should offer plenty of battery life for daily use.

Of course, you also get 100W SuperVOOC charging support (with a charger in the box), which is claimed to charge the phone from 1 to 100 per cent in 29 minutes.

The OnePlus Nord CE4 also comes with a 50MP main camera sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and an 8MP ultrawide camera. There’s also a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. OnePlus is shipping the phone with Android 14-based OxygenOS 14, and it will get two years of software updates and three years of security updates.

OnePlus Nord CE4: Pricing and availability

The OnePlus Nord CE4 is priced at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, while the 8GB/256GB variant is priced at Rs 26,999. Both phones will be available in Black and Green colours, and will be available to purchase with leading retailers from April 4. If the OnePlus Nord CE4 is not for you, you can also consider the Nothing Phone (2a) at this price point.
