OnePlus has finally stopped teasing us and admitted what we already suspected. The Turbo series is real. For a couple of months, we have been hearing whispers about a new product line focused on speed, but it wasn’t until the brand’s 12th anniversary event in China that we got the official nod.
A phone built from the ground up for speed
Li Jie Louis, the President for OnePlus China, confirmed the arrival of the series during the celebration. It seems the plan is to take their flagship “performance DNA” and shove it into a mid-range body while pushing battery life to the absolute limit.
Li also highlighted that the company saw over 40 per cent growth this year, and that was largely thanks to younger buyers who just want their games to run smooth as butter. He says this new lineup is being developed to offer a gaming experience you don’t usually see at this price point.
It’s therefore no surprise to see that either a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or an 8s Gen 4 would be present under the hood. But the spec that really jumps out is the battery. We are looking at a 9,000mAh unit, according to leaks.

You can also expect a 1.5K panel – a screen that is sharper than standard 1080p but not quite as dense as 2K. Higher-end versions might even get metal frames and ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
As for launch, we might see it before the year wraps up or in January 2026.
