OnePlus will now let you sync your media with Google Photos

OnePlus rolled out the OnePlus 12 this year, but the company continues to better its user experience via routine updates and fixes. A recent development, for one, will allow users to back up their media on Google Photos with the app.

The integration was a part of several other brands, such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Realme devices; however, it will now be a part of OnePlus devices running OxygenOS 14. Here’s everything you need to know.

How to sync the OnePlus Photos app to Google Photos

Once your OnePlus smartphone https://www.croma.com/realme-store/b/b-1090is updated to the latest OxygenOS 14 version, all you have to do is navigate to the Settings app for your media and select the ‘backup with Google Photos’ option that should appear at the top of your screen.

On doing this, you should find a menu popping up within Google Photos that will ask you to grant it access. When this is done, you will be able to access your entire Google Photos library within your OnePlus Photos app — and also back up anything on your device onto Google Photos.

Who can make the most of this feature?

If you’re using the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 11 or the OnePlus 10T and the OnePlus 9, you are eligible for the OxygenOS 14 update. The update may also be available for mid-range devices by the brand, such as the OnePlus Nord 3 and Nord 2T. Once you’ve upgraded to the latest version, you will find the option within your Settings app by default.
