The rumour mill has been consistently leaking details about the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, which is expected to launch by March or April 2026 in China. Reports have revealed that it will be the company’s first Ultra-branded flagship phone to hit the global market. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, claims that it could debut as the world’s first smartphone with dual 200MP cameras.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra: New camera details emerge
Until now, reports have claimed that the Vivo X300 Ultra, which is expected to launch in Q2 2026, would be the first-ever phone to feature a pair of 200MP cameras. However, DCS claims that the Find X9 Ultra will snatch this title by launching earlier than the X300 Ultra.
Previous reports have claimed that the Find X9 Ultra’s rear camera setup will be headlined by a 200MP camera, accompanied by three 50MP sensors. The latter was said to include an ultra-wide lens and a pair of periscope telephoto cameras.
As per the new leak by DCS, the main 200MP camera, which is believed to be the all-new Sony LYT-901 sensor, will intake more light compared to 1-inch sensors in the same class. It will be accompanied by a 200MP mid-range periscope telephoto camera for lossless-quality zoom.
The setup will also include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering native 10x optical zoom. The phone will support up to a 230mm native focal length, which can be extended up to 460mm with high-quality zoom. While the leak does not specify it, the rear camera setup is expected to feature a 50MP ultra-wide lens. It is also said to have a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus support.
Oppo currently offers the Hasselblad Professional Photography Kit for the Find X9 Pro, which brings up to 10x optical zoom support. Likely, the Find X9 Ultra may also arrive with a similar teleconverter lens to offer an unprecedented optical zoom experience.
