While countries like New Zealand, Europe, and Australia are seeing price hikes for the PS5, Indian gamers are in for a treat. Sony is offering a Rs 5,000 discount on select PS5 models as part of the Summer Sale.
PS5 Summer Sale to go live in India on April 17
The PS5 Summer Sale in India will run from April 17 to May 14, 2025, giving gamers nearly a month to snag the console at a lower price. The offer applies to the CFI-2008A and CFI-2008B models, which will be available at the discounted rate on e-commerce platforms like Croma and the Sony Center.
Why the PS5 sale matters
Globally, PS5 prices have recently gone up – by £40 in the UK and €50 in Europe. It is speculated that this pricing strategy change has happened due to inflation and the fluctuating currency exchange rates. Despite these price hikes globally, India remains unaffected for now. However, industry experts warn that a price hike could be on the horizon here too, making this sale a timely opportunity to buy the console before prices potentially rise.
Do note, while the sale officially lasts until May 14, it could end sooner if stocks run out. So, if you’ve been eyeing the PS5, it might be wise to act fast. For more such updates about all things tech, stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma.
