Beats and Nike have introduced the Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition, bringing a new design treatment to the fitness-focused wireless earbuds. The collaboration marks a notable step for both brands, as it is their first joint hardware release. Along with a refreshed appearance inspired by Nike’s athletic identity, the earbuds retain the same core performance features as the standard Powerbeats Pro 2.
Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike Special Edition: Specs and features
The Powerbeats Pro 2 Nike special edition mainly focuses on visual changes while keeping the internal hardware unchanged. The right earbud carries Nike’s Swoosh logo, while the left retains the familiar Beats “b” emblem. The colour theme follows Nike’s well-known Volt palette, giving the earbuds a sport-inspired appearance. The charging case features a matte black finish with Volt speckles, and the phrase “JUST DO IT” appears inside the lid.
In terms of audio and performance, the earbuds deliver the same capabilities as the regular model. They support Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling along with Transparency mode, allowing users to switch between immersive listening and awareness of surrounding sounds. A built-in heart rate monitor works with the Fitness app and Nike Run Club, enabling workout tracking directly from the earbuds.
Battery performance is designed with athletes and long training sessions in mind. With the charging case included, the earbuds can provide up to 45 hours of total listening time. The design also includes wrap-around ear hooks that help keep the earbuds secure during movement, whether users are running, training, or engaging in other workouts. The earbuds carry an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.
Beats is also promoting the collaboration through a campaign titled “Keep Your Head in The Game,” featuring brand ambassador LeBron James alongside professional golfer Tom Kim and actors Lionel Boyce and Travis “Taco” Bennett.
